There are many incredible stories here on campus. All the people here that have given up so much to serve others and to follow after Jesus is inspiring. One of those stories is of this family pictured below. They are the wardens of the boys home here. The man used to be a Hindu and converted to follow Jesus, making him the only one in his village. Pastor Amma asked him to come take care of the orphan boys here. He and his wife have been married for five years and have two children: Shekinah Gracie, 3 and Beulah Joycie, 1. In Hebrew, Shekinah means “glory of God” and “Beulah” means “God’s beloved.”

Beloved Beulah needs your prayer right now. On Saturday, she totally stopped breathing for ten minutes. After intense prayer and heartache, God gave her breathe back and with it, her life. She isn’t sick with a fever and no one is sure what is wrong with her. She is going to the doctor in a few days (doctors aren’t as prevalent in India). Please pray for her healing and for her protection.

It’s tragedy if any child is robbed of life, but a family like this has already sacrificed so much for good, for God, and for others. As a family, they have essentially adopted 15 boys; the boys are big brothers to the girls and are lead by the parents. The wardens and all the boys are filled with so much grace and joy—it’s humbling. The wardens’ influence is evident through spending just ten minutes with them and the children. My respect and admiration grows with each moment I spend with them.

As promised, I am posting photos from our Kerala trip. The trip was incredible. We drove 10 hours just to get to our first stop, but it was well worth it. We climbed a mountain, rode elephants, played with monkeys, prayed with people, and much more. Check it out below.
